ADAC 1000 KILOMETER RACE

For the first time in 1953, the ADAC 1000 Kilometer Race offered ultimate long-distance racing action in the Eifel region – this year, the challenge for man and machine returns to the Nürburgring.

With a seven-hour race duration and over 38 laps, up to 220 vehicles in 4 starter groups take to the overall track consisting of the Grand Prix Track and the Nordschleife.
This endurance race is unique in Europe: the length of the track and the demands on the drivers and teams are incomparable.

The highlights for spectators are also unique: On Friday, the Maserati Barchettas, Birdcadges, Ferraris, Porsche 550 Spyders or 718 RSKs and Aston Martins race in their own races on the Grand Prix Track. They are reminiscent of the open-wheel racing classes and legends from the early days of the 1000 km Race. Today, however, they would no longer be allowed to race on the overall circuit.

On Saturday, the hero cars of the 1000 km Race will be seen first in qualifying and then in the race on the overall circuit – then the revival of the endurance classic will take place.
Historic motorsport with rare vehicles, powerful racing cars, memories of the 60s, 70s and 80s can be seen in a unique combination of racing fights.

The programme for the 1000 km Race also includes many highlights and action in the paddocks. With the admission ticket, spectators can access all open grandstands, the paddock and the starting grid.
